The Price Is Right - Live Stage Show Orpheum Theatre - Sioux City Theatre reviews
Generic Version
First of all, I have been a fan of the Price is Right for over 35 years and I've always wanted to go on the show. The experience started when I purchased the a VIP package. When I got to the event, Other VIP package people and I were told to stand in the regular line even though we told the guy that we had VIP tickets. Then just before sign-in started I found out I was in the wrong line. Then to fill seats MGM gave away a lot of Complimentary tickets, which those people were able to register and be able to have a chance at being a Contestant, which is not fair or right to those that actually purchased a ticket to come to the show and be a Contestant. Next the way the show was done is not entirely like the real Price is Right. When you call the original 4 Contestants down to the front the winner should go up on stage but instead of everyone going back to there seats, they should remain just like the original show. Having 4 random people at a time for only 4 chances at a prize vice the 6 you get on TV, as well as, Calling an additional 3 random Contestants to spin the wheel instead of the Contestants who won a prize is very Generic and not in tradition of the original show. Also if you are going to have a Generic version of the show, then you should play more games. They were around 3000 people in the Audience and they only had 22 Contestants on stage. The show should have lasted longer for the amount of money that I paid to see the show. Also for next time, if you have people with the VIP package, you should throw a T-shirt in there goodie bag instead of just a hat and prop ticket for the amount of money you're spending for the package. Overall, it was an okay show but if there is a next time, I'm just going to wait for show day and get a free ticket because it's not worth the money for an okay experience.
